The newspaper De Tijd used data on COVID-19 incidence at statistical sector level from the Vlaamse Zorgatlas, and correlated these data against deciles of several social indicators. The analyses showed that the 10% most deprived statistical sectors, both in terms of income, ethnic background, family size, population density, and population age structure, showed significantly higher incidences than the 90% other statistical sectors.
