Sciensano and the National Social Security Office analysed COVID-19 incidence by employment sector, for the period September 2020 to January 2021. Certain sectors, such as human health and social services, public administration (federal and regional administration, defense, police, fire, etc.) and education are above the national average. These sectors cannot shut down and employees cannot always work from home. They are also often subject to systematic testing.
