Prospective longitudinal evaluation of hospitalised COVID-19 survivors [Lorent et al. 2022]

ERJ Open Research published results by Lorent and colleagues on the recovery trajectory and care needs of COVID-19 hospitalised patients after discharge. This prospective multicentre cohort study included 299 and 226 persons at 3 and 12 months after discharge, respectively. The results indicate that many COVID-19 survivors experienced limitations at 3 months, especially severely diseased patients. At 1 year, the majority showed improvement to almost complete recovery.
